How to change the indicator of lead quality?

Step 1> Twist the part show (1) towards the side as indicated by arrow.
Step 2> Twist the part shown(2) towards the side as indicated by arrow.
Step 3> Twist the part shown(3) towards the side as indicated by arrow.
